Challenge
As Husqvarna’s dealer network continued to grow, the company needed a more efficient way to manage branded merchandise, marketing materials, and annual dealer kit distribution. Dealers wanted the flexibility to customize kit contents for their specific locations while also having convenient access to branded and co-branded products through a single ordering experience.
Managing hundreds of products, forecasting demand, controlling inventory costs, and ensuring timely delivery across a large dealer network created significant operational complexity. Husqvarna needed a scalable solution that would simplify ordering, eliminate excess inventory, and provide greater visibility into program performance.
Solution
Imagine partnered with Husqvarna to design, launch, and manage a comprehensive branded merchandise program built around efficiency, customization, and inventory control. The team developed a secure, web-based storefront accessible to Husqvarna dealers and sales representatives throughout the network. The platform served as a centralized hub for ordering branded merchandise, marketing collateral, and annual dealer kits.
The program launch involved the migration and organization of more than 200 products, including apparel, promotional items, catalogs, price tags, banners, and other marketing materials. Imagine created a seamless ordering experience that allowed dealers to easily customize selected kit components, including apparel sizes and quantities, while maintaining brand consistency across locations.
Beyond building the technology platform, Imagine implemented an end-to-end fulfillment and inventory management solution. Real-time reporting provided visibility into inventory levels, order status, backorders, and purchasing trends, giving Husqvarna the data needed to make informed inventory and procurement decisions. Automated reporting tools further streamlined program management and reduced administrative burden.
A key advantage of the program was its demand-driven ordering model. By collecting dealer orders in advance, Husqvarna gained an accurate view of product demand before inventory was purchased or assembled. This approach minimized inventory liability, reduced waste from obsolete products, and ensured the right materials were available when and where dealers needed them.
Results
What began as a solution for dealer kit distribution has evolved into a long-term strategic dealer support program. Now operating in its sixth year, the program continues to expand by approximately 150 new dealers annually. Nearly 2,400 customized dealer kits are shipped each year, providing locations with the branded merchandise and marketing materials needed to support local sales efforts.
With real-time inventory visibility and automated reporting, Husqvarna has improved inventory planning, purchasing accuracy, and overall program efficiency. Dealers and sales representatives now have a single source for ordering branded merchandise and marketing materials, creating a more consistent, reliable, and scalable experience across the entire network.
